Application Procedure 1) The offline application form will be available at https://aiimsguwahati.ac.in/(Important Events and Announcements). 2) Candidates who are fulfilling all eligibility criteria may only apply through offline mode only. 3) Executive Director AIIMS, Guwahati reserves the right to cancel the advertisement at any point of time withoutassigning any reason there of or fill up less/more number of posts as advertised depending upon the Institutional requirement. 4) Along with the filled application, the scanned copies of the original certificates i.e. MBBS degree certificate, Internship Completion Certificate, qualifying degree (MD / MS / DNB), Medical registration Certificate, Birth Certificate, Caste Certificate (if applicable), payment receipt and other relevant certificates etc. of the candidates need to be send to - “THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ALL INDIA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, GUWAHATI CHANGSARI, KAMRUP ASSAM-781101” The documents submitted will be physically verified with the original certificates at the time of interview/ if the candidate is selected. The envelope of the application should be distinctly superscripted with the name of the post applied for. If any candidate, who joins the post and leaves/resigns/gets terminated before the completion of the tenure, he/she may do so by giving one month’s prior notice from either side as per the rules or by depositing pay and allowance in lieu thereof with the Institute for the period of which notice period falls short of one month or so. 5) The candidate can apply for more than one post (Maximum 03 departments) out of the enlisted Departments separately but, they have to apply & pay separately for different posts/Departments. E. Selection Procedure for Senior Resident (Non-Academic) 1. The shortlisted candidates will be called for personal Interview. However, if the application received will be in high number, written examination may be conducted for shortlisting the candidates. Executive Director, AIIMS, Guwahati will have the discretion to decide for which post written examination to be conducted and for which post there will be no written examination. Themeritlist(selected andwaiting list) for all categoriesi.e.UR / EWS /OBC / SC / ST shall be prepared on the basis of combined marks of written test (if any) and personal interview or only Personal Interview. 3. Any vacancy arising because of non-joining by selected candidates in this selection or by resignation of candidates, post will be offered to the candidates from waiting list according to the merit panel. Terms & Conditions 1) Canvassing information of any kind will lead to disqualification, incomplete applications will not be considered and will be REJECTED. No interim correspondence shall be entertained. 2) The prescribed qualification is minimum and merely possessing the same does not entitle any candidate for selection. 3) The appointees shall be granted leave in accordance with the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time. 4) Private practice of any type is strictly prohibited. 5) He / She may work in shifts and can be posted at any place in the Institute as per the discretion of the MS/Dean/Director. 6) He/ She is expected to abide by the rules of conduct and discipline as applicable to the Institute employees. 7) The candidate should not have been convicted by any Court of Law. 8) In case, any information given or declaration by the candidate is found to be false or if the candidate has willfully suppressed any information relevant to this appointment, he/she will be liable to be removed from the service even after warning and action will be taken as deemed fit by the Competent Authority. 9) The decision of the Competent Authority regarding selection of candidates will be final and no representation will be entertained in this regard. 10) The Competent Authority reserves the right of any amendment, cancellation and changes to this advertisement as a whole or in part without assigning any reason or giving any notice. 11) All disputes will be subject to jurisdictions of High Court, Guwahati. 12) Candidates working in Govt. / Semi-Govt., PSU should apply through proper channel. The inservice candidate’s will not be permitted for examination / Interview, without “No Objection Certificate” from theemployer. In this connection, it is mentioned that, as per the terms and conditions of Central Residency Scheme, their engagement is to be regulated as per the CCS (Temporary Service Rules). 13) The cut-off date to determine themaximum age limit, essential qualification&experiences will be the last date of submission of application form. 14) On selection, the candidates will be given 21 days’ time to join the post at AIIMS, Guwahati. In exceptional situations (with reasonable justification), extension may be granted by the Competent Authority for another period of 14 days. No further extension will be permitted thereafter. 15) The post will be on tenure engagement for a period of maximum up to 03 (three) years including such engagement earlier if any (if anyone has already served as Senior Resident in previous appointment, the same will be calculated along with the present engagement at AIIMS, Guwahati). However, the performance will be reviewed by a committee duly constituted by the Executive Director on completion of 01 year tenure on every occasion and further extension beyond 01 year or 02 years will be based on the recommendations of the said review committee. In case the performance is not satisfactory, then further extension will not be considered.
